Over the past three decades, this event has consistently drawn tens of thousands to the nation’s capital to mark what has come to be known as the “Official Start of Summer.” Recognized as one of the largest and most distinctive food and music festivals in the country, the Giant National Capital Barbecue Battle serves as a vibrant celebration of unity, community, inclusiveness, and cooperation, all set against the backdrop of our Capital City.
